Way of the Samurai 3 Where Can I Find Otome
Hey folks and all you lovely otome gamers! I purposely made this post as an updated version of the previous one I did back in 2018 titled, Otome Games in Nintendo Switch (English) ~Old Version~. Just so we're clear, this list will only include otome games that were localized and are currently available in the west. I'll also make sure to update this list whenever we get new releases.
Looking back on what we had two years ago versus what we have right now, I'd say, for such a niche genre, we're actually making good progress! From mobile ports to vita ports, and now we actually have new games announced exclusively for the switch alone! It makes me really happy to see a lot of support coming from everyone, both old and new otome fans! Nyaa!
The list below may not be up to par with the Japanese releases for very obvious reasons lol, but here's what we have so far.
The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya

Comments: I personally, liked this game because of its *cough* steamy content and beautiful art. Some routes were great, while others were boring. It is a bit expensive though for a non voiced tittle.

Comments: In terms of the game's sound and mechanics, I find this one better than the first Yoshiwara series. Story-wise, I've only finished Takigawa's route so I can't really spell out any thoughts if this game was better than its predecessor. I do like Oghiya MC more than Kikuya MC.

Comments: I kept putting this game down for some reason lol. I've been hearing a few mixed reviews regarding Dandy Shot (Pub Encounters). Most of the reviews were actually quite good, as long as you don't mind romancing older men (chuckles). I've only finished Yuze Ryunosuke's route, he's the tsundere and his story wasn't so bad.

Comments: One gripe I have for this game was that, because it was a mobile port the CGs on the Switch looked really weird and stretched. The game has an interesting prologue and I've actually enjoyed its steamy content.^^; I've finished three routes so far. Some were good, while others were meh.

If you haven't played the game yet, this one's definitely a gem. When it comes to the character arcs and story-line, I cannot recommend Nightshade enough! Ask other Nightshade fans and they'll tell you the same thing! ha! (*´▽`*)

It does border a slight bit on the mature side of things. If you get easily triggered with sensitive topics such as violence, drug abuse and human trafficking, maybe avoid this one for your own sake. If not, then go grab the game now and play it!

Comments: Bakumatsu Renka Shinsengumi was initially launched for the PS2 back in December 2004 in Japan and was ported to the DS in November 2008. Basically making this game the oldest otome game in the switch library (lol). The western switch release for this game will be available in the Nintendo eshop digitally, while the Japanese switch version will have both physical and digital copies available.

However, a word of caution to those who gets easily triggered with non-con scenes, as this game was rated M in ESRB for a reason.
